Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated 1 January 2026
Purpose
This policy exists so one customer cannot ruin the service for everyone else, and so we stay on the right side of Bangladeshi law and our upstream providers.
Prohibited content and activity
You may not use our services to store, host, distribute or link to:
- Malware, viruses, ransomware, exploit kits or command-and-control infrastructure.
- Phishing pages, fake login portals, or anything impersonating a bank, mobile wallet or government service.
- Child sexual abuse material. This results in immediate termination and a report to the authorities, with no notice and no refund.
- Content that infringes copyright or trademark, including pirated software, films or courses.
- Spam, bulk unsolicited email, or lists you did not collect with consent.
- Cryptocurrency mining, or any process designed to consume maximum CPU indefinitely.
- Open proxies, open mail relays, or Tor exit nodes on shared infrastructure.
- Content illegal under the laws of Bangladesh.
Resource use on shared hosting
Shared plans run many customers on one node. Fair use means:
- Sustained CPU use should stay within your plan's allocation. Short spikes are fine and expected.
- No single process should run for more than 180 seconds on a shared plan.
- Cron jobs no more frequently than once every 5 minutes.
- Storage is for your website — not for backup archives, media libraries unrelated to the site, or file distribution.
- Inode (file count) limits apply and are shown on each plan.
If you consistently exceed these, we will contact you and suggest a plan that fits. We suspend only when the load is actively degrading other customers and we cannot reach you.
- No unsolicited bulk email, ever, including to lists you purchased.
- Shared hosting has an hourly outbound email limit. For genuine bulk sending, use a dedicated email service — it also gets far better deliverability than any hosting server.
- We enforce SPF, DKIM and DMARC and will help you configure them.
Enforcement
- First contact. For most issues, we email you and give you a reasonable window to fix it.
- Suspension. If it is not fixed, or the issue is actively harming others, we suspend the service and tell you why.
- Termination. For repeat or severe breaches, we terminate. No refund is given for services terminated under this policy.
Phishing, malware distribution and CSAM are suspended immediately without prior notice.
Reporting abuse
Report anything hosted by us that breaches this policy to support@domhos.com with the URL and a short description. We investigate every report and act within 24 hours.
