Transferring a domain to us

Before you start

A domain can only be transferred if:

• it was registered more than 60 days ago,
• it has not been transferred in the last 60 days,
• the registrar lock is off, and
• WHOIS privacy is temporarily disabled so we can email the registrant.

Steps

1. Ask your current registrar to unlock the domain.
2. Request the EPP / authorisation code — it is usually emailed to the registrant address.
3. Start the transfer on our transfer page and paste the code.
4. Approve the confirmation email that arrives within a few minutes.

Transfers complete in 5–7 days and add a full extra year to your existing expiry date. You never lose the time you already paid for.
