Which one do you actually need?
An honest answer, because most Bangladeshi sites are sold certificates they do not need.
For a blog, portfolio, company brochure site or even a small shop, the free Let’s Encrypt certificate is cryptographically identical to a paid DV certificate. Visitors see the same padlock. Buying a paid DV certificate for these sites buys you nothing except a warranty you will never claim.
You should pay for a certificate when:
- You need to cover many subdomains — a wildcard is cheaper and far less work than issuing dozens of individual certificates.
- You process payments and want your legal company name inside the certificate so a careful customer can verify who they are paying — that is OV or EV.
- A partner, bank or enterprise client contractually requires OV/EV.
